Blood 2024
We thoroughly enjoyed attending the Blood 2024 combined Annual Scientific Meeting, where the NTD was showcased through a poster and an oral presentation. Congratulations to all involved, with a special mention to Chris Berry, who presented on 'Developing a Model to Predict Need for Red Blood Cell (RBC) Transfusion, Using Machine Learning Tools'. Well done to everyone for their hard work and contributions!

At the 2024 Blood Synergy Open Meeting, NTD Data Manager Dr Cameron Wellard delivered a compelling presentation on the NTD. The presentation offered an insightful overview of the data encapsulated within the dataset and provided an illustration of the type of information that can be extracted from the NTD.

NTD update meeting
During the Blood 2023 Conference in Melbourne, the NTD hosted an update meeting for a small group of guests. NTD representatives had the pleasure of sharing the progress of the NTD at the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) All Staff Retreat. This was a very enjoyable day out, many thanks to the ARDC for the invitation to present.
